Christmas at INNterim!

Thanks to everyone in the community who helped make such a wonderful Christmas for our families:

Some of the organizations that contributed to INNterim during the holidays were: The Rotary Club of Pikesville, St. Charles Borromeo Church, Sacred Heart Church of Glyndon, Bethel AME, and Baltimore County Schools.

The Eternal Light of Helping Hands Foundation made it possible for two of our children to attend a performance of The Nutcracker Ballet. It was an experience they’ll never forget!

Tutoring for Children at INNterim Apartments

Special thanks to Carl Love, Homeless Education Coordinator for Baltimore County Title One Office for arranging for a tutor to work with our children at INNterim Apartments 5 days each week after school from 4 – 6 pm. Tutoring sessions begin on Wednesday, January 29th in the daycare center.

Tutoring continues at INNterim House for the children there with the wonderful women of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. These dedicated, former and current teachers have faithfully tutored children at INNterim House for the past three years. We can’t thank them enough!

Second Building to Open at INNterim Apartments

All the furniture has been delivered for the 11 apartments in 10204 and final preparations are being made before families arrive. The first families will move in by the second week in February.

Cold Weather – Warm Hearts

The weather has been bitterly cold this winter, but our hearts are warm knowing that we were able to keep homeless families on the west side of Baltimore County off the streets on these frigid nights. INNterim gave space for the Baltimore County West Cold Weather Overnight Shelter at the Rosewood Center site for six weeks until this year’s location was ready to use. Some of the families filled out applications to move into INNterim, and one has already done so. We’re glad to have helped!
